The PLAIN summaries offer reliable, easy-to-read information about late effects and recommendations for long-term follow-up care. They support survivors, their families and friends, and non-specialist healthcare providers to better understand potential late effects and the surveillance recommended to monitor them. What began as an English resource has grown into a European collection — with translations in Italian, Hungarian, Spanish, Greek, Dutch, and now German!
The recommendations in the PLAIN summaries are based on the annually updated PanCareFollowUp guidelines for the surveillance of late effects [1] – also available on the PanCare website. The English version of the PLAIN summaries was originally developed within the EU-funded project PanCareFollowUp and refined in the EU co-funded project EU-CAYAS-NET [2].
This new milestone was made possible by Madgalena Balcerek, Anna-Liesa Filbert, Lisa Goerens, Desiree Grabow, and Jette Lüdersen.
